Information

BME building K is closed due to the water level of the river Danube. The closure is expected to last until 11 June.

On the morning of 5 June the Directorate of Property Management at the BME Chancellery informed all citizens of the university that the use of building K will be restricted from 1 PM.

The reason for this measure is the action of the Budapest Sewage Works Ltd., due to the high water level of the Danube and its impact on the sewage system. The closure of the building, situated at the Műegyetem embankment, may be lifted on Tuesday next week, as the water level is expected to decline by the weekend. The other buildings of the university are not affected.

It is currently exam time at BME. Exams and events will be moved to other buildings. Students will be informed about the changes concerning exams via the website of the Central Student Office and the Neptun system.
