A team of seismologists and social scientists gathered to set up a citizen seismology project in Haiti aiming at collecting seismic data and understanding the people’s risk perception and the usage they could make of low cost seismic sensors. We present how we engaged with citizens and the collaboration between volunteers, geoscientists and social scientists.
